Daniel Collins has had poems published in a number of journals. He was born in Chicago in 1952, received his B.A. from the University of Illinois in 1974, and now works for a library in the Chicago area.

Following is a sample of the aphorisms in this volume:

The brave die many times, the coward only once. One long death.

Like the beautiful, the frightful and the wicked become part of a fairy tale.

Faith is in love with paradox.

Indelible style embodies what it navigates, a cartography in relief.

Friends have more rights than lovers but fewer privileges.
